Orestes Gonzalez

Orestes was born in Havana, Cuba, and raised in South Florida. He studied Architecture at the University of Texas, Austin. Moving to NYC in 1987, he worked in architectural firms specializing in historic preservation. He has renovated over 45 townhouses in Harlem, Brooklyn and Queens. After the events of 9/11, his activities in architecture lessened, dedicating himself to art and documentary photography, and curating photo exhibits.
