Elizabeth McAlpin
Born in NYC, Elizabeth lives and works in Harlem. She is an interdisciplinary artist presenting abstract and realistic imagery with learned processes from master printmakers, ceramicists, and painters. Spanning across thirty-five years, she studied at The Manhattan Graphics Center (NY), Lower East Side PrintShop (NY), Galisteo Street Studio (NM), the Center for Contemporary Printmaking (CT), Greenwich House Pottery (NY), Ralph Scala Ceramic Studio (NM), Tony Ryder Fine Art Studio (NM) and Ted Seth Jacobs Fine Art School (Anjou, France). In addition, she holds a PHD in Education & Technology (NYU), an EDM in Instructional Design & Technology (Columbia), a MA in Education & Technology (NYU) and a B.A. in Philosophy (Denison). She is also the director of educational technology research at New York University.
